We recently had the opportunity to play at the Meshingomesia Country Club Crystal Ball Fundraiser. The country club has been in operation for 118 years and has been the venue for this Family Service Society’s fundraiser for all 30 years of the event. The vaulted ceilings not only looked beautiful, but provided amazing acoustics for our pianos! Additionally, their attached restaurant, the Tomahawk, was amazing. They provided the food and it was some of the best we’ve had! If you’re interested in booking your own event at the Meshingomesia Country Club or at the Tomahawk Restaurant, click here for details!
Meshingomesia Country Club Crystal Ball Fundraiser
This was the 30th annual Crystal Ball fundraiser for The Family Service Society and it was easy to see why it’s lasted so long. They organized a coin toss tournament that got pretty intense. We’ve never screamed “heads” or “tails” so loudly. Fittingly, the champion got a trip to Las Vegas! There was a huge boisterous auction too. All together, they raised more than $108,000 for families in need!
A Magical Night For All
After raising so much money, everyone headed to the dance floor to celebrate. There was a professional ballroom dancing couple that started us off. They literally danced circles around everyone. To fit the crystal ball theme, we got a lot of magic-related song requests. Witchy Woman by the Hollies and 24k Magic by Bruno Mars were very popular. Our personal favorite might have been our duet mashup of the Police’s Every Little Thing She Does is Magic and the Lovin’ Spoonful’s Do You Believe in Magic.
