Animal rescue charities are actually some of the hardest working organizations in the world. The Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge fundraiser spoke for those that have no voice. Whether rescuing dogs or cats Felix & Fingers enjoyed bringing out the generosity of our audience while helping to keep this organization operating. Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge Fundraiser South Bend
Felix and Fingers know that whether you run an animal shelter, or work (or volunteer!) at one, all the dogs and cats bring in plenty of visitors but sometimes it can be tough on funds. In fact, the overhead to take care of and last-minute costs can have you digging deep into your own pocket. Pet Refuge takes excellent care of their animals but needed a little extra support on their side. Thus, the Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge fundraiser. Our performers for this amazing fundraiser were Jennifer Lee Knuth and Greg Percifield. Felix and Fingers love supporting animals and through our creative and interactive show, we raised a TON of money!
We loved all the little details about the Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge fundraiser. EVERYTHING was animal themed, all the way down to the little bone shaped treats on the banana bread for dessert! So CUTE! Our client picked an awesome venue for the fundraiser. Located in South Bend, Indiana this hotel offers room block reservations, catering services and event space set up to make your day perfect. VIP Pups and Cats
There were more items at the Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge fundraiser then we have ever seen at any auction. Picture a room so large that auction tables encompassed the ENTIRE room down to both sides of our stage! To begin with, Jennifer started the show by telling the crowd she was not bragging, but that she owned 9 rescued animals. The room echoed in a THUNDEROUS applause! There were a few dogs at this event. One pup was up for adoption and needed ACL surgery.
The food at this fundraiser was indeed FANTASTIC. Jennifer and Greg both had the Beef Wellington and in all honesty, it was cooked to PERFECTION. Did we mention we had some animal themed requests? Songs such as Doggy Dog World by Snoop Dogg were a hit with the crowd. Felix and Fingers DJ’d through dinner with songs such as How Much Is That Doggie in the Window? by Patti Page and Puppy Love by Paul Anka.
Rescue Me!
Animal rescue fundraising seems like it should be easy, doesn’t it? You just show some cute pictures of kittens and puppies and the public is sure to donate, right? Wrong! The Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge fundraiser had a makeshift house set up with adoptable pets in the windows on little Popsicle sticks. Guests had the opportunity of choosing a pet to adopt or help out with donations. The Hilton Garden Inn Pet Refuge fundraiser also featured two radio hosts who served as MC’s for the evening. It was fun to watch them walk around the auction items and “hype-up” each item. This was a great way to draw attention to items that hadn’t been bid on yet. They used an app to bid so guests would be immediately notified if they were outbid on an item. The competition was FIERCE!
There were also some really cute dogs that were eventually showcased towards the end of the fundraiser. Pet Refuge volunteers told of the animals sad story and encouraged guests to donate so the organization could raise money for medical purposes and shelter support. Jennifer was definitely handed $50.00 to sing and play Who Let The Dogs Out by Baha Men. Our performer made everyone chant the “call and response” WHO WHO WHO WHO pretty much just like Baha Men would have done it. It was great seeing everyone have FUN!
