Cloister in the Woods Wedding Venue
What a charming venue! This gem tucked away in Northwest Indiana is truly a special place. We loved the arched windows strung with white lights and the outdoor patio was perfect for guests that wanted some brief time away from the dance floor. The outdoors setting is abundant with nature views. It’s quite an enchanting setting. Cloister in the Woods only books one wedding at a time so you can be sure all attention will be on your special day. We found everything to be wonderful and hope to soon return. A Small, Intimate Affair
Here at Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos, we play for all sizes of weddings and events. We love them all no matter the size. We do have to say, however, that smaller intimate affairs make it better to get to know our audience. Therefore, by the end of the evening, we really feel as though were all a tight, close knit group. That was the case for this Cloister in the Woods Wedding and we just loved it. The groomsmen were hilarious and their singing along with us had everyone laughing and cheering. Due to the small group, we were able to play a ton of F & F games and had more call outs than we usually do. It was so fun. We played some great tunes too. Mary J. Blige’s Real Love was one request we don’t often see. Of course, all of the usual one’s found their way to our pianos as well such as Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline and We Are Family by Sister Sledge. What a great day it was and as it was an early affair, we were on our way home by 7:00 pm. That is not our usual late night time so we almost felt like it was a night off.
