Beautiful Canal 337 Wedding in Indianapolis
We recently got to perform at an amazing Canal 337 wedding in Indianapolis! This was a Felix and Fingers debut, but we hope to visit this gorgeous venue again soon. This venue was great! There was so much space from the beautiful balcony upstairs to the sprawling dance floor, stage, and seating area downstairs. The staff were all unbelievably friendly and conscientious. Victory Lap for a Happy Couple!
The ceremony was beautiful, and we learned that the bride was a retired race car driver. She said she won dozens of races, but this was her real victory lap. Before we could wipe all the tears from our eyes, we sat down for dinner. Some mad genius made chicken with bacon jam for dinner. Yes, bacon jam! Dessert included a custom cake with photo-realistic depictions of the couple’s dog on it. It was almost too adorable to eat. Almost.
This is Indiana
After dinner we moved downstairs from the incredible balcony onto the dance floor. This was where the real fun began! After the bride’s speech, we had to start off with Going the Distance by Cake. Quite a few of the guests were fans of the Eagles so we got to do a little classic rock medley–Hotel California, Witchy Woman, and of course Take It Easy. One of the groomsmen snuck in Go Cubs Go. He was apparently the only Cubs fan there so it did not go over well. It was, however, the perfect setup for us to play This is Indiana by Brice Fox and Daniel Weber. As soon as this basketball anthem started, the groom ran out with a billowing Indiana University flag and got everyone on the floor!
