Felix players Jim and Sam had some great Woodstock Country Club Fun with a small, but mighty crowd. Used to performing for much larger groups, it’s always nice when these two have the chance to play for a more intimate gathering. Everyone gets to hear their favorites and by the end of the night, Jim and Sam feel like they have a roomful of new best friends.
Woodstock Country Club Fun Venue
The Woodstock Country Club is a lovely venue surrounded by peaceful golf course views in Woodstock, Illinois. With the friendliest members and staff, it was a delight for us to perform here. Staff members Leslie, Liz, and Jack were not only professional, but very fun and helpful. Members even had them out on the dance floor and they kept a smile all night long. We could easily see how appreciated they are. If you’ve been searching for one of the friendliest clubs around, with gorgeous greens and delightful event spaces, this is it. Small Crowd Big Fun
This Woodstock Country Club Fun member event was a small grouping of about thirty or so guests. This makes for quite an intimate setting which allows our players to get to know everyone. As usual during events such as this, we began with light dinner music while guests were dining. Then we began our dueling piano show and the party really began. Well, to be honest, with a smaller group such as this, sometimes it takes a little persuasion from us to get the dance floor going. Don’t worry. Our performers are experts at encouraging participation and before we knew it, this small party was rocking! Oldies were the hit of the evening with requests for The Beatles’ Twist and Shout, Dancin’ in the Street by Martha and the Vandellas, as well as I’m a Believer from The Monkees.
We were rocking the night away when one guest thought he could stump us with a request for Go Cubs Go by Steve Goodman. No way! That’s one of our favorites. But, of course, there had to be a White Sox fan in the house who wanted to hear a White Sox song. Well, being Cub fans, we didn’t know any of those so we made up parodies about how much better the Cubs were. It was all in fun and he took the joke quite well.
