Felix and Fingers recently dueled at the McHenry Family Medicine holiday party, held at the Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock, IL. For information on the venue, please click here. This event was a night to remember as employees came together to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Family Medicine for McHenry County, located in Crystal Lake, has been serving the Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills and Woodstock communities for over twenty years. Each year they rent a venue in January to celebrate the holidays after everyone has rested and recharged. For more information on Family Medicine for McHenry County, please visit their website.
McHenry Family Medicine Holiday Party
Set upon rolling hills of finely kept golf holes, Bull Valley Golf Club hosts many events from weddings to holiday parties. This year, Family Medicine for McHenry County chose this exquisite place to be the venue for their annual holiday party. The event space was smaller, but no less grand than we expected. Rich wood lined every door way and the perimeter of the ceiling. The ceiling itself was made of ornate tin squares, giving the room a slight antique feel. When we came early to set up, we were so struck by the detailing that we had to take a minute to admire the craftsmanship. Once we cleared our heads, we noticed that buffet tables were set up around the room with delicious finger foods. A bar stood off in one corner, and the staff was so kind and accommodating.
Let’s Dance!
Because they pride themselves on being a small, family centered practice, Family Medicine for McHenry County hosted twenty or so guests. We think they may just be the most energetic and genuinely happy people we’ve ever met. When guests began arriving, they immediately began dancing. Once the party fully started, a group of women requested Dancing Queen by ABBA, and they did a slightly choreographed dance routine on the dance floor. They even broke out their best moves for our next couple songs by Franky Valli!
A little later in the evening, a different woman came up and sang Tiny Dancer with one of our pianists, Greg. The duet was a hit! Towards the end of the night, we decided to end our set with Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison. It was such a fun night, and we are happy we could be a part of the Family Medicine for McHenry County’s tradition.
