When it comes to charming barn occasions, no place rivaled the Windsong Acres wedding event. This beautiful, rural property is located in Camp Point, Illinois and indeed offers an incredible social setting. The Rasche’s own this homestead and have converted the venue into a spectacular public gathering spot. Felix and Fingers wish Nicholas and Michelle a lifetime of love and happiness!
Windsong Acres Wedding Event Camp Point Illinois
To start with, the Windsong Acres wedding event was held on a property featuring several beautiful buildings, including the owners actual home. Other buildings included a red barn for events and a rustic cabin that is actually the owner’s wife’s art studio. What is more, there was a gorgeous gazebo and impressive koi pond. To tell the truth, this property was a wedding venue dreamland!
Windsong Acres owners Jeff and Shelly Rasche did an AMAZING job renovating their 2 historic barns. Mr. and Mrs. Rasche are PROUD to offer both structures for your next special event. This rustic yet chic homestead will also WOW your guests with it’s extensive gardens and peaceful surroundings. Jeff and Shelly have hosted hundreds of guests since 2010, from gala weddings to intimate private dinners for two. If you would like further information on Windsong Acres please click here.
The Windsong Acres wedding event ceremony was outdoors where the bride and groom exchanged vows under a beautiful gazebo. Our performers for this romantic occasion were Jennifer Lee Knuth and Jim Gritschke. During vows we played a variety of background music next to a sparkling pond. Furthermore, the flower girls were the bride’s nieces and were simply the cutest little trio that we’ve ever seen. In fact, they wore pretty little flower crowns and fluffy dresses! Barnyard animals such as horses and donkeys were constantly present and Woodford the family dog was their ring bearer. We LOVED everything about this super sweet wedding!
Tambourines and Perfect Ribeyes
The Windsong Acres wedding event was one of the coolest, laid back parties we have ever played. Everyone was super nice and made sure our performers had everything they needed. Cocktail hour was surrounded by warm gold lights and exposed wood beams. We held the ambiance with songs such as Luck Be a Lady by Frank Sinatra at this polished barnyard bash.
Rustic charm and earthy elegance were on full display as guests sipped on champagne and enjoyed delicious appetizers. Felix and Fingers kept the good times rolling with great song requests such as Soul Man by Sam & Dave. We LOVED seeing everyone enjoying themselves as they cocktailed and chatted!
Now, let’s talk about dinner. Apart from the grilled to order ribeyes and sugar cookies, guests enjoyed an old fashioned game of Midwest cornhole. Dinner music had a great country vibe with songs such as God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton. It was the perfect dining experience!
Above all, there were 2 photographers at this wedding who were sisters that grew up down the road. We LOVED seeing how everyone involved came together to execute such an amazing day. At one point of the night, one of the flower girls requested Shake it Off by Taylor Swift. Jennifer chose a random guest from the crowd to play the tambourine. Our volunteer just HAPPENED to be a percussion specialist! From the first note played, the dance floor was on fire. Not only did he keep PERFECT rhythm, but the odds of choosing a prestigious Millikin professor were CRAZY!
