The Waucoma Event Center wedding was big talk in the rural town of Waucoma, Iowa. Congratulations Stephanie and Blake on your wedding! Waucoma is a small farm town of 250 people in Iowa. Because the Waucoma Event Center has seating space for 500, there is plenty of guest parking. Waucoma Event Center Wedding in Rural Iowa
Upon entering the Waucoma Event Center, Marlene, the booking agent volunteer and board member, was more than gracious on helping direct us to our stage location for set up. She is also the city clerk. The Waucoma Event Center is run by a 9 member non-profit board who came together to fundraise for and build the Event Center for their community All the staff were inviting and a pleasure to work with. The wide ranging style of tuxedos to overalls with neon shirts were fun to see. Marlene and the others volunteer their time here and enjoy seeing all of the great entertainment that they have been able to provide with the Event Center. Their excitement showed! Small towns like Waucoma, Iowa really know how to put on a big spread. The bride and groom hit the nail on the head with some awesome BBQ for their guests. A mouth watering dinner of smoked pork chops served with mac n’ cheese was a hit.
Small Town Big Fun
Felix and Fingers had a really good time playing for the Waucoma Event Center in rural Iowa! 210 guests really knew how to have big fun in the Waucoma Event Center all decked out for a rural wedding. Lots of talk about travels, some as far away as South Africa. Besides that, clever guests were attempting to have us involve the bride and groom in an “icing”. Shenanigans of Smirnoff Ice were handed out inconspicuously to the bride and groom, to chug a prank repeatedly throughout the evening. Felix and Fingers kept everyone on the dance floor into the night!
