Venue Banquet Facility Dinner Show Canton Illinois
In our business, we love to see the new and exciting places we get to play at. The Venue Banquet Facility’s founding date was in October 2018 and their reviews were immediately positive! In the time span of about 2 months, this former furniture store was renovated into an amazing banquet facility. Our performers for this SOLD OUT dinner show were T. Duncan Parker and Chris Heroldt. The audience LOVED their ENERGY! Guests arrived to beautifully decorated tables in a large stylish room that can accommodate up to 299 people. The Venue offers smaller rooms for crowds of up to 90 people. If you would like additional information on The Venue Banquet Facility click here.
To begin with, it was a gorgeous evening and The Venue opened their doors letting through a wonderful breeze. The Venue Banquet Facility dinner show is the first event this venue itself has hosted and it was packed wall-to-wall with paying customers. Half of them were dancing, ALL of them were having FUN! Before our show, our performers handed out song request slips and this crowd wasted no time piling them up on our pianos.
Cocktail hour was all about drinks and dancing with this audience. Duncan and Mike mixed a variety of instrumental jazz in with songs such as Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar flawlessly.
We Are Loved
The Venue banquet facility offers great catering options when planning your event. After some award winning brisket from Smokin’ Guns BBQ we stepped right back into our show with tons of fun and games. When it comes to dessert, try out Cupcake Baby located in Astoria, IL for your custom cupcake desires! We loved their salted caramel and Tahitian vanilla cupcakes. They were delicious! Furthermore, while indulging on cupcakes, a few guests stopped by letting us know they saw our show at a local winery. As a matter of fact, they were at tonight’s show because everyone LOVED US SO MUCH!
Felix and Fingers made sure the crowd participated in a few interactive dinner games such as singing contests. This is where we divide the crowd into 3 or 4 groups. Give a topic or theme (such as songs mentioning a color or a boy/girl’s name). Then have each group, in order around the room, loudly sing the appropriate line from the song. No repeats allowed. Last group left with a song is the winner. Everyone had a FUN time!
Lastly, have you ever seen T. Duncan Parker divide the room into “low” and “high” voices, for the middle section of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen? A MUST-SEE!!! Additionally, there were some great requests, our performers had the dance floor packed all night. Someone brought a portable disco ball and yep you guessed it…Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees started a string of 70’s music. And what a better way to finish the show than by Dancing Queen because everyone can always enjoy some ABBA!
