Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos had the wonderful opportunity to perform at a Tinley Park Convention Center Fundraiser recently. Located in Tinley Park, Illinois, this venue is a great location to host all types of events in one of the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Tinley Park Convention Center Fundraiser
This particular fundraiser raised money for the Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School. The fundraiser itself was named the Denim and Diamonds Gala, so guests came dressed in a mix of both classy and casual outfits. To start off the evening, we all had a wonderful dinner. I gave up meat for Lent, but this venue had one of the best vegetarian lasagnas I’ve ever had! Once guests finished dinner, they could mingle or walk around and bid on over one hundred different silent auction items! Some of these items included prizes such as “Ride to School in a SWAT Car” or “Be Principal For a Day”. We loved the creativity behind these items! In addition to the silent auction items, guests could put their names in for awesome raffle prizes!
At this Tinley Park Convention Center Fundraiser, over 500 people attended the event! Because of that, we received a variety of great requests. We played some classic pop jams from Flo Rida and other pop artists that crowd got into. One of our biggest songs ended up being the “The Humpty Dance” which had everyone bumpin’ out on the dance floor with our mad DJing skills. Later on, we played “Go Cubs Go” for the principal. Despite having several Sox fans paying us to stop, the Cubs fans paid us more to keep it going. All of our tips in any fundraiser go back to the charitable cause. We are always glad to help out and perform at all sorts of fundraisers!
