The Cause
We were and continue to be amazed by this cause and all that it does to help others. Three sisters are behind this company, and they have a brother whose wife was injured in an accident. She is a past recipient of the great work this company does. Additionally, we often play these events and don’t get to see what the result of the fundraising is. Here, they had past recipients of the previous years work attending. We got to see people positively impacted by the group’s hard work and generosity. As much as we love playing music for all sorts of events, we sure do love to see the impact that these causes and charities can have on others and the fact that we are able to play at these events and have a role in them really means a lot to us as players.
Starline Factory Fundraiser
The Starline venue was amazing! They transformed a former tractor manufacturing plant into the venue we saw at the Starline Factory Fundraiser. They kept a ton of original flooring and mechanical hardware and antique tools. Lights hung from the ceiling and draped around the columns of the main floor. It lit up the room and was as bright of all the hearts in that room. The staff utilized the space incredibly and provided prompt service where needed. As a side note and in addition to fundraisers, we would highly recommend having weddings in that area and in this venue.
As for our fundraiser here, it was a very classy event and very memorable as well. All the ladies wore red dresses to the event to honor the cause and fit in with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. To start off the dancing, we had one moment that was particularly memorable. The brother and his wife shared the first dance together and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. We played plenty of fun songs that guests danced and sang to all night. To top it all off, they played a “Heads or Tails” game which we see at fundraisers sometimes, and it was tons of fun! Lots of folks bought in with donations which helped the fundraiser as well. The event had a great mix of fun, sentimental, and good-hearted moments. Overall, the night was very successful and we hope to be back!
