Skydive Chicago hosted a week-long event for thrill seekers and Felix and Friends got to join in. Hundreds of people came out to camp, skydive, and have a great time with like-minded folks. Every evening there would be music and festivities, which is where we got to have some fun with some of the nicest people we’ve ever met.
Skydive Chicago Extreme Week
Skydive Chicago often hosts extreme events at their hangar located in Ottawa, Illinois. This one was a week long, offering all kinds of skydiving, nightly festivities, and camping. The beautiful grounds have cabins or campsites, depending on what kind of experience you are looking for. Every day offered so many options. If you weren’t skydiving or taking a lesson, you were listening to music or playing games, like bubble soccer. And then at the end of the day, there was always a social event; that’s where we come in!
Felix and Fingers and the Skydivers
We were in awe as we pulled up to the hangar to see this amazing event and the masses of people. They were all so nice, and quite a few offered and helped us with our setup. We were ready to play in no time for that evening’s event. We played on a stage at their tiki bar overlooking a reservoir, taking requests and playing the classics all night. It was so relaxed and fun. Everybody sat around relaxing after a crazy day of activities and sang along to the music. Lastly, we had a lot of fun playing Live Like You Were Dying, as everyone sang the lyrics, “I went Skyyyydiving!”
Above all, Skydive Chicago hosted some of the nicest people we’ve ever met for this show. We can only say good things about this gig, and we were thankful for all the compliments afterwards. This was such a cool event overall! If you’d like to learn more about Skydive Chicago and this event, click here.
