We headed to Sherman, Illinois for the Prairie Cross farm wedding of Jamie and Tyler. What a unique venue! The Prairie Rose Cattle Company is a working ranch in this small town just north of Springfield, the Illinois state capital.
Prairie Cross Farm Wedding
The groom works at this farm as a heifer rancher and chose to host his and his bride’s special day on its gorgeous grounds. We have done a lot of barn weddings here at Felix and Fingers but we couldn’t call this a barn wedding as it was so much more. This farm wedding was truly a unique experience. How often can you dine on white linen covered tables on a farm? The table settings were sophisticated and elegant yet just right for a farm wedding. Black and white striped table runners jazzed up the decor and really added a nice touch. The spacious and green backdrop of the property was a beautiful setting for the ceremony as well as the reception. Click here to find out more about the Prairie Rose Cattle Company. There is a lot going on there!
Fun on the Farm
Following a superb meal of brisket and BBQ, it was time to get the party started. Our piano duelers set up on a legit farm tractor surrounded by hay bales. It was a down home set up that led to some down home fun. This was a great group who kept the dance floor busy and sang along to all of their favorites. They especially seemed to enjoy Shop by Salt and Peppa. Even the cows chimed in as everyone sang Neil Diamond’s classic hit, Sweet Caroline. We won’t soon forget this Prairie Cross farm wedding! Congratulations to Jamie and Tyler!
