Hope 2018, the Pediatric Resource Center Event at the Embassy Suites by Hilton East Peoria Riverfront Hotel & Conference Center, was a super fun fundraiser for this wonderful organization. It was Felix and Finger’s second time playing for this group and we had even more fun this time around.
Pediatric Resource Center Event
The Pediatric Resource Center is an advocacy group for abused and neglected children in Central Illinois. They provide medical and social services to children in over 50 counties in a child friendly manner and setting. This group, part of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, is a lifesaver to so many of these disadvantaged children. We felt honored to be asked to return for the second year in a row. To be able to help an organization such as this raise sorely needed funds is humbling to us. We take the responsibility quite seriously. If you would like to know more about this organization or would like to help their mission, please click here. The kids they help need everyone’s support.

The cuisine, the staff, and the property all fit together to create the perfect party. We hope to return soon. Please click here if you would like more information about this great location.
Music, Games, and More
For the Pediatric Resource Center event, we provided live music during their video presentation and also during the auction. We followed with a show that included some dueling pianos and some games. They had given us a list in advance of people who may play along. So we called them up on stage to play in their Head or Tails game as well as our own letters game. During the heads or tails game, we played music from the Benny Hill show which really added to the humor of it all. Following the fun games, we continued with our show. We had to include some Metallica because, not only was it requested, but our performer, Greg, finds it amusing to hear metal translated to piano. Imaging hearing Nothing Else Matters on a solo piano. We think it sounds pretty great.
