Halfway between Bloomington, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri you will find the delightful town of Newton, Illinois. Felix and Fingers arrived to play for their Newton Athletic Boosters Fundraiser and found the people of this community to be one of the friendliest crowds ever. We loved playing for this fundraiser and hope to soon return.
Knights of Columbus Hall Newton
Newton’s Athletic Boosters chose the Knights of Columbus Hall for their fundraiser and we can see why. Small towns don’t always have a lot of choices for banquet venues but not to worry here. The Knights of Columbus hall is spacious and welcoming and the perfect choice for any large or small local event. You can read more about the Knights of Columbus and their mission by clicking here. We would also like to report that the catering for this event was outstanding. A pork and beef brisket BBQ dinner is always sure to please!
Newton Athletic Boosters Fundraiser
The Newton football team needed new uniforms and we had no problem helping them with that. Who doesn’t love a hard working and dedicated small town football team? From the time they contacted us for a booking through the night of our show, this group couldn’t have been 
more friendly. And aside from being friendly, we found they were quite fun as well. Our show was an absolute blast. This crew had a great time and we enjoyed the constant compliments. They were so excited to place song requests in our tip jar that we had quite a time keeping up. But don’t worry because, as always, we did. Hence, our tip jars raised a ton of money for the Newton Athletic Boosters Fundraiser! Wow! What a great and generous group! Click here to check out their Queen of Hearts Raffle Facebook Page. Even More Generousity
In addition to raising money for the football team, there was also a side auction that helped raise money for a local woman undergoing surgery to remove her cancer. The group was bidding on a two night stay at a cabin retreat and our helpful crew raised over $1000! That’s how we do it here at Felix and Fingers. If you want a successful fundraiser be sure to hire us as your entertainment. We are fundraising experts. With all of our experience, we will be sure to put your guests in a fun frame of mind. We want them to let loose not only on the dance floor but with their wallets as well. We had this group going crazy for songs from the 80’s with Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel. Country music was also 
popular and we enjoyed getting back to some good ole country classics with Hank William’s Hey Good Lookin’ and Willie Nelson’s On The Road Again.

Sadly, it was time for us to get on the road again as this is a busy season for fundraising and we had other shows for which to prepare.
