We had a great time performing for this Mt Zion Convention Center wedding. Congratulations Jacqueline and Scott! What a great day it was!
Mt Zion Convention Center Wedding
We found the Mt. Zion Convention Center to be an excellent choice for a reception venue. This facility has enough space to accommodate crowds large and small. Because of its size and adaptable room choices, there was no problem keeping this group happy. Jacqueline and Scott’s wedding was quite a large one with over 300 guests. Most importantly, we were happy to see how well the staff worked with such a large crowd. They made sure we all had a great time. Also, the ballroom is quite beautiful and expertly decorated. Our couple had chosen a wall of flowers that guests could use as a backdrop for their photos. For certain, there is quite a lot going on at the Mt. Zion Convention Center. Dinner theater, wedding receptions, corporate events; they can handle it all. Check them out by clicking here. We hope to soon return.
No Champagne On The Dance Floor
To begin the evening, we played jazz music during cocktails and dinner. This was quite important to the bride and groom and we were happy to oblige. Our performer, Rachel, is a beautiful jazz singer and pianist. Following dinner, we played an awesome show that had everyone dancing and singing the night away. Most noteworthy, one guest even came up and sang the entirety of Rapper’s Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang. It was quite impressive as he did not miss one single word. Besides that, we had some other great requests. Taylor Swift was popular with You Belong With Me and Back to December. Next, we kicked it up a notch with some good ole classic rock from AC/DC. Nothing like You Shook Me All Night Long to get the dance floor rocking.
Above all, we have to report that this was quite a fun crowd to play for. In fact, maybe a little too fun. At one point people were pouring champagne straight from the bottle into the mouths of the dancers. For sure, it got a little crazy but we’re pretty used to that.
