Felix and Fingers had the chance to perform at a Western Illinois University Fundraiser, located in Macomb, Illinois. We played at their Union Hall for the Tri-County Cattleman’s Association fundraiser. Western Illinois University Fundraiser
We had lots of fun playing for this fundraiser. Before we even went on stage to perform, they had a comedian that performed for about a half an hour before our show he really appealed to their group and was very funny. At this Western Illinois University Fundraiser, Felix and Fingers had set a goal of raising at least seven-hundred dollars for the event. So, in turn, we had plenty of guests pay money to have their friends come up on stage and sing or play a game. At one point, three guys did a pretty good job of “Man of Constant Sorrow”. They even sang the harmonies on the chorus. We were impressed!
As well, people made lots of different requests which help raise money as well. One of our favorites ended up being “Man, I Feel Like A Woman” which is always somehow funnier when sung by a guy. We love being able to take requests from guests that keep the show unique and tailored to the event and the crowd that is there at the event. By the end of the night, we had well surpassed our seven-hundred dollar goal. It was a successful night all around!
