We’re including a lot of pics along with this blog post for the Adler Day Camp Performance. Why? Because kids are so darn cute, that’s why. We had so much fun with this summer group of very fun kids.
Adler Day Camp Performance
We headed over to Adler Memorial Park to play for this show (or two shows, actually). It was a Disney themed event for summer day camp kids and we played two different shows with over 200 kids at each. The Adler Memorial Park is a great facility. what they have to offer. Aside from their summer day camp, you will find swimming, rock wall climbing, indoor sports, outdoor sports, cultural activities and so much more. We especially loved their day camp. We could totally see that the kids were having a great time at camp and that they loved their counselors. And together, we all had so much fun!
Disney Always Delights
We’ve had adult shows that had a lot of requests for Disney music and those are always a hit. So imagine how the kids reacted. They loved that they knew the words to almost all of the songs. They also liked that we encouraged them to sing along. And they weren’t shy either! We quickly learned that we should not encourage children to scream to their heart’s delight. They tend to take things very literally and the noise was deafening. But we settled them in and rapidly changed our “You can scream out if you know the song” to “You can sing along as much as you like.” We also took requests and were quite impressed by their level of music knowledge. One young man even asked us to play Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. That kid must have great parents, in our opinion.
