The Kuiper Family Farm wedding event showcased a unique and all-inclusive event. This family farm located in Maple Park, Illinois provided the perfect venue for a romantic ceremony and reception. Not only does the Kuiper Family Farm offer full service weddings, but they are open all year (except from mid-August through October). They’re a working orchard. Felix and Fingers had a blast making new friends while tipping their hat to another successful show! Congratulations Stephanie and Johnathan!
Kuiper Family Farm Wedding Event Maple Park Illinois
Thanks to our blogs that showcase gorgeous locations such as the Kuiper Family Farm, barn weddings are insanely popular! Furthermore, nothing makes a barn wedding even more beautiful, than the flowers that compliment the space. Our performers for the Kuiper Family Farm wedding event were Mike Potts and T. Duncan Parker. Our performers were surrounded by a garden that looked as if it was picked skipping on the way in. Felix and Fingers had a great set up for the outdoor ceremony overlooking the farm’s apple orchard.
To begin with, the Kuiper Family Farm is a stunning venue with an incredible staff. While Stephanie and Johnathan exchanged vows under the arbor surrounded by nature and loved ones, our performers played the bride’s requested instrumental music for the first half of their ceremony.
This couple also took our advice and had the recessional recorded with FUN music. It was a GREAT way to end their ceremony! We had a TON of fun watching the surprise on everyone’s faces when the newlywed’s went out with a bang to Arcade Fire’s Wake Up. It was an epic recessional! Donut Bars and Sparkly Sunglasses
Cocktail hour took place in a one-of-a-kind silo adjacent to the large barn. Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers surrounded by exposed wooden beams and two-story-high ceilings. The perfect background for this super fun celebration! During dinner, Felix and Fingers played a variety of requests such as Baby Love by The Supremes and Moondance by Van Morrison. We had fun seeing guests taking spins on the floor between sipping their Mint Juleps and snacking on sliders!
In all honesty, we’ve had A LOT of brisket at weddings and some were just meh, but that’s not the case here. This brisket was DELICIOUS! Felix and Fingers kept the request of light instrumental music during dinner and speeches allowing guests to mingle. For dessert, there was an apple cider donut bar with ice cream and just about any topping your heart desired. We stayed strong and resisted! By the way, did we mention we were a perfect fit for the event space? Our performers set up in a small back room area and because of their sound system they were as loud or quiet as needed. This wild crowd wanted LOUD to kick off the party, so when we hit the first notes of 5-1-5-0 by Dierks Bentley they went WILD. We’ve never seen so many people flood a dance floor at one time!
It wasn’t long before a sweet senior lady wearing Elton John style sunglasses approached us. She insisted our performer Mike Potts wear them with each Elton John song he played. Needless to say, Crocodile Rock got a little crazy with the sparkly sunglasses and Mike’s elaborate performance! Elton would have been proud. Above all, it was a beautiful night and everyone enjoyed themselves dancing the WHOLE TIME at this FUN event!
