This Highland Park Community House Mitzvah is just another example of the type of engagements we do at Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos. While we don’t have the opportunity to perform for a ton of Mitzvahs, when we do, we know it’s going to be an awesome time. Congrats to Ryder, the man of the night!
Highland Park Community House Mitzvah Venue
You’ll find the Highland Park Community House in Highland Park, Illinois just next to its charming business district. It’s the perfect location. This superbly restored historic landmark is available for private and non for profit rentals. And Felix gives it two thumbs up as a venue option. We thought it had incredible charm while retaining its sophisticated and elegant past. With a spacious ballroom and a commercial kitchen, among other amenities, they are equipped for all your entertaining needs. For Ryder’s bar mitzvah, we were in a spacious outdoor tent. The guests truly seemed to enjoy their gorgeous gardens. If you’d like more information about the Highland Park Community House, please click here.
Ryder’s mother is a professional event planner, so you can imagine how well this bar mitzvah was organized. She outdid herself with the decorations and the theme. Everything ran like clockwork and that wasn’t easy because this was really three shows in one. Yes, due to Covid restrictions and the desire for safety, this bar mitzvah was separated into three smaller parties. So for us, and for the young man of honor, it was quite a long engagement. But with our event planner keeping us on schedule, it was all smooth sailing.
A Rock Themed Bar Mitzvah
For the Highland Park Community House Mitzvah, we played some very standard requests and some off the beaten path choices as well. Our young man had awesome taste in music! We loved playing Shattered by O.A.R., Muse’s Madness, and Can’t Stop from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Mumford and Son’s I Will Wait also made an appearance. It was a fantastic time playing these and so many other top hits. Each group had an awesome time. Some sang more than danced. Some danced more than sang. But all in all, each of the three separate parties made up for one incredible event.
