Felix and Fingers performed for a beautiful Grand Victoria Fundraiser in Elgin, Illinois that helped raise money for a charity named Harmonies for Hope. We had connections with previous clients that led us to this fundraiser and we felt honored to be a part of the special event. Please click here to learn more about the Grand Victoria Casino.
Grand Victoria Fundraiser
The spacious and beautiful ballroom on the second floor of the casino made a great space for this fundraiser and would be great for other special events as well. Casino loading procedures can be tough. Luckily, we ended up with a parking garage spot that allowed us to skip the elevator and roll right in. The Grand Victoria security guards were helpful and provided us with a cart. The family and friends put on an excellent Fundraiser that raised money for their late mother who passed away from cancer. She taught music and so we felt blessed to honor her memory with music.
Dancing to the Music
The crowd danced all night long. The energy throughout the night was unreal. Many guests got up and danced and wanted to keep moving to all our different songs and requests. At one point, an elderly woman who had trouble walking came up to the pianos and danced. Everyone around her cheered her on and danced even more to some classic hits. The dance floor stayed filled more than anticipated and we soaked it all in along with the guests. Guests donated $50 for us to play “Bohemian Rhapsody” and $50 to play “Piano Man”. All donations end up going towards the fundraiser or cause when we play. At the very end, all the guests gathered together and linked arms as we sang “American Pie” to end the night on a great note.
