The Hinkley Fire Department Fundraiser had us in awe over all these firefighters do for their community. It is beyond obvious how much the local citizens appreciate these public servants. Felix and Fingers was proud to be a part of this very fun show.
Fire Department Fundraiser Fun
Serving the town of Hinkley, Illinois and neighboring townships, this fire department answers about 200 calls per year. All of their firefighters were present at their Hinkley Fire Department Fundraiser and they sure showed everyone a great time. They had delicious food and of course, awesome entertainment! We could see how well loved and appreciated these service men and women are and we know they deserve every bit of that appreciation. Click here to read more about this public service entity. Friends, Family, and Firemen
So many, many people came out to hear our show at this fun event. You should have heard them sing when we played Garth Brooks’ I Got Friends in Low Places. We think the rafters of the firehouse were shaking with how loud they were. And friends they all were for sure.
They also loved hearing some Disco flashbacks so we had to play Disco Inferno by Disco Inferno and of course, Hot Stuff by Bad Girls. We also couldn’t leave without throwing in Songs of Love’s Ring My Bell. Everyone was cracking up over the hot fire related songs we were singing and kept thinking of more and more. We had Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash, Light My Fire by the Doors, and Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain. We tried to move on from the theme but had to relent when a request for Talking Heads’ Burning Down the House came in. This group was fire crazy!
