A strange feeling came upon Felix and Fingers entertainer Sam as he entered the venue for the State Farm Honor Club Dinner. He felt as if he had been to Gifford’s Kitchen & Social in a previous time. Finally, he realized he had played there before when the building was under different ownership. In all honesty, he likes the new restaurant much, much better!
Gifford’s Kitchen and Social in Elgin, Illinois
Robert, along with his partner in crime, Jennifer, loved Gifford’s Kitchen and Social. Robert felt it is exponentially better than under the previous owners. The design and decor is much classier now. The second floor of this restaurant is perfect for large social gatherings, parties, weddings, or any event for that matter. It will seat up to 250 people and with its own private bar, your guests will be sure to have their beverage needs met and then some. The spacious balcony overlooks the lake and provides an excellent spot for rest, photos, or just taking in the view. Click here to see this newer venue in Elgin. Don’t forget to check out their awesome menu selections celebrating traditional American melting pot cuisine.
State Farm Honor Club Dinner
The State Farm Honor Club Dinner took place to honor the top sales people for State Farm Insurance. This group was in a celebratory mood as they toasted each other on making and exceeding their yearly sales goals. The top honoree has hit his yearly goals for over 25 consecutive years. Wow! What an accomplishment! All in all, however, this was a pretty chill group. Usually, you will hear us talk about how wild and crazy the party became, but that is not always what our client wants or needs. That was the case with this corporate event as the main focus was their hard work. Our music–an added bonus.
This doesn’t mean that no one was having any fun. No way! Felix does not allow that. It was just a little more mellow than some of our wilder evenings. But they let it all hang out just a little. The older gentleman we spoke of above surprised everyone by getting up and shaking it to Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot. It was definitely a highlight of the evening. Robert had some requests for rap and he blew everyone away with his version of Look at me Now by Chris Brown. Everyone was cheering and really impressed which pleased Robert because he loves his rap music! Further requests surprised us with the amount of 90’s music and R & B. Not what we were expecting but sure made us happy.
