The Elgin Haight Wedding Party had us returning to one of our favorite venues. Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos will go anywhere and everywhere, and we always love going to Elgin to The Haight.
Elgin Haight Wedding Party
The Haight is an amazing refurbished factory from the 1890’s. The historic building was once used for horses and transportation. Now, it is been rehabbed into the perfect wedding and event venue. With just the perfect mix of rustic elegance, it will enchant any bride planning the perfect wedding. The first floor is perfect for cocktails and seats 175 standing. The second floor ballroom is much larger and can seat up to 300. The food stations made finding your dinner easy and the Asian and Italian cuisine we sampled was excellent. Even the cake table was historic as it was from a Mississippi River gauge used to measure the water level. Click here to visit The Haight in Elgin. The groom’s mother made all of the sweets for the dessert table. It was beyond wonderful! She must have been doing a lot of work in the kitchen as there were dozens of baked goods and sweet treats. Have you ever tried a chocolate covered Twizzler? Well we have and they are delicious! There were even homemade marshmallows. Thanks Mom!
Dual Officiants
It’s a beautiful thing when cultures come together in peace and love. For the Elgin Haight Wedding Party, the couple had both a Christian minister and a Jewish rabbi. It worked very well having them hand off the microphone to each other. It was very 
special indeed. Then after the ceremony it was time to party!
Both fathers of the bride and groom ruled the dance floor for this wedding reception. The tore it up all night long–impressive, indeed. This was a great party crowd and loved dance music from the 90’s including What Is Love by Haddaway and Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65. We then moved to our cowbell competition which resulted in people cheering for their sides louder than we’ve probably ever heard. Crazy crowd!
