Rock and Roll at Venue SIX10
Most of our Dueling Pianos shows feature two pianos (duh), and Venue SIX10 was no different. However, we also had the privilege of adding a drummer and guitar player for this particular wedding, and it definitely adds a level of rockability to the show! There’s nothing like playing “Bohemian Rhapsody” and having the guitar player actually play the guitar solos instead of me having to sing in my super high pitched voice! 🙂
Venue SIX10 – a Modern Wedding Venue
Most of the reception took place in the Crown Hall at Venue Six10, an open space featuring views of Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, and of course Lake Michigan. I never get sick of all the breathtaking views playing at these high rise Chicago venues, and this was one of the best. The operate within an environmentally sustainable building filled with state of the art resources. Venue SIX10 wasn’t only perfect for this wedding, but would be great for any other parties or corporate functions!
They also had a great space the floor above. It was used for the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and it overlooks the Crown Hall. There was also an Art exhibit in another room where dessert was served.
Party Time at Venue Six10
As usually, we had an awesome time. The dance floor was packed all night, and it was a blast playing with our drummer, Matt, and our guitar player, Eric. It was a Jewish wedding, so we got to perform “Hava Nagila,” which is always a ton of fun playing live. The bride and groom also had awesome friends who kept dancing all night, including to some songs I had never even heard of! 🙂
It Comes to and End at Venue SIX10
