Felix and Fingers recently dueled at a Salvage One Chicago Wedding. This couple hosted their big day in a gallery filled with salvaged indoor and outdoor furnishings, giving guests an unforgettable experience. From stained glass windows to decades-old chandeliers, the venue created a cozy and romantic feel. For more information on Salvage One, please click here.
Salvage One Chicago Wedding
Before everyone arrived at Salvage One for the reception, we had some time to explore this unique venue. Old mirrors, accent lighting and organized-by-color VHS tapes adorned various parts of the brick walls. The couple brought minimal decorations due to the beauty of the space. A raised dais was set before a big window looking out onto the industrial section of Chicago. A matching antique chair and couch as well as an oak coffee table sat upon it. The couple put glow sticks there so guests could “let love glow” as they danced.
After saying “I do” in a beautiful church, the couple and guests showed up. Seeing as the bride and groom are big Taylor Swift fans, their entourage marched right up to us and requested we play as many of her songs as we could throughout the night. Guests took their seats at large wooden tables, and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Once they finished, the cake was cut and served, and servers revealed a large candy table. Guests were invited to eat candy throughout the night as well as take home bags. How sweet!
Late-Night Pizza Delivery
After dinner and dessert, dancing ensued. The bride and groom took to the floor with a choreographed first dance to an Adele song. When they finished, they invited guests to join them on the open floor to dance off their sugar highs. We had requests for a lot of 60s and 70s songs, and towards the end of the night we played a 90s set list.
As an added bonus, the catering staff ordered late-night pizza for everyone because they were so energetic. Guests enjoyed the pizza and continued to show off their moves all the way through to our last song.
Felix and Fingers had such a fun time at this wedding, and we hope to perform at a Salvage One wedding again.
