Long Distance Friends
Whenever we hear there are long distance out-of-town guests at our show, like Africa, we make sure to to acknowledge that. In other words, a must play song Africa by Toto had literally every guest in the room singing along! This is a very popular, well known song these days because Weezer released a remake. Earlier in the evening it was the first time during a wedding speech Mike and Greg heard the word “dick pic”. That is to say none were ever sent, although it had the crowd laughing out loud.
An even more interesting fact was that much of the crowd spoke Hebrew. This was one of the first times we did not perform Hava Nagila as we found it on the “don’t play” list provided to us by the bride and groom. Finally, at one point, Shoop by Salt-N-Pepa was requested. Greg started playing the song but the girl who requested it was enjoying to the max. And of course, when Mike ended up handing her the microphone she took over, never missing one lyric!
