Your Felix and Fingers Dueling Piano performers headed out to the far west suburbs of Chicago to play for this Bolingbrook Country Club Wedding. What an awesome time we had! Congratulations to our bride and groom, Kristina and Jim. It was a wonderful day indeed.
Bolingbrook Country Club Wedding Venue
We found the Bolingbrook Country Club to be a perfect setting for a wedding. This is a beautiful venue and we especially enjoyed the player piano in the lobby. We are pianists after all. You can click here to take a look at this great property. We began with the ceremony in the Rose Garden. This spot, with gorgeous lake and fountain views, is the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. Next, we moved inside for cocktail hour in the living room of the 76,000 square foot clubhouse. The space is breathtaking with its two story fireplace and superb decor.
Then we headed into the ballroom for the reception. Wow! This staff really knows what they’re doing. They directed the group expertly and made things happen as smoothly as we’ve ever seen. Dinner was divine, simply divine. Served expertly, we enjoyed a delicious meal of prime rib and salmon. The staff even did a champagne parade. That was quite a sight for sure. When it was time for dessert, we headed over to the sweet table and couldn’t believe our eyes. There were so many different pastries our eyes popped. We couldn’t decide what to try first! We truly loved seeing the European style croque-en-bouche pastry tower. It’s not often to see that in the United States but our couple is Polish so we weren’t too surprised.
Traditional Polish Band and Dueling Pianos
Since we do so many weddings here at Felix and Fingers, we have the wonderful opportunity to see so many different traditions. The Bolingbrook Country Club Wedding was no exception. Since the couple is Polish, they had a traditional Polish band that played on and off throughout the evening. That was a delight for us as we’re usually the only entertainment. We didn’t mind sharing the spotlight one bit as we truly enjoyed their performance. When it was time for toasts, one of the bridesmaids gave a traditional Polish blessing. We just love when we see how different cultures celebrate. It’s one of the best parts of our jobs.
But then it was time for your favorite dueling pianos and we began the night with a rousing version of We Are Family by Sister Sledge. Some songs never go out of style and this one has been a consistent wedding request for as long as we’ve been around. The rest of the performance was filled with hip hop, rap, and 90’s music. The crowd had a blast dancing to Crank That from Soulja Boy, House of Pain’s Jump Around, and Be My Lover by La Bouche. What a fun night it was!
