Head to the central Illinois town of Lewistown if you you’re looking for great wine, exceptional horses, and a super fun time. Felix and Fingers traveled here recently to play for this Big Horse Vineyard Public Show. What a great time it was amongst a beautiful natural setting with an exceptionally friendly group of small town citizens.
Big Horse Vineyard Public Show
The folks at the Big Horse Vineyard are dedicated to raising and showing Draft horses and these creatures are a sight to behold. In addition, they have added to their interests with a vineyard and create some delicious wines. You’re going to love this venue. It’s natural setting is just perfect for any occasion. While we were here for a public show, we can imagine it would be a dream wedding venue. Big Horse Vineyards offers community entertainment year round and that is where Felix and Fingers came in. We were delighted to be the first act ever to entertain at this venue and are proud to know that we were the start of a very successful endeavor.
You can now see all kinds of shows here and they have a great slate of upcoming events. In addition, their banquet facilities are excellent and this is the perfect event venue. You will find the staff to be the perfect representation of Midwestern friendliness as well as being super professional. Small Town, Big Fun
Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos plays for all sorts of events. We are well known for weddings and private events but we also do many public shows. We were super happy to play for the first public show ever hosted by Big Horse Vineyard. They now have a wonderful slate of upcoming events but we will always be the first.
You never know what is going to happen at a public show. Weddings, on the other hand, are a bit more predictable. For public shows, some times people want to remain seated and be entertained. Other times, however, they like to get up and dance just as much as wedding goers. That was the case with this Big Horse Vineyard Public Show. We had them on their feet and shaking their stuff to songs like Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, and You’re Mama Don’t Dance by Loggins and Messina. This group also had great voices and loved to sing along to tunes like Lee Greenwood’s Dixie Road and Neil Diamond’s infamous Sweet Caroline. We love traveling to Midwestern small towns and playing for such wonderful people. It is always a fun night and we couldn’t have felt more welcome.
