For one thing, we love seeing our previous customers. And secondly, those same previous customers know what to expect. They see us and know they are in for one fun night of singing and dancing. The Makray Memorial Golf Club wedding was originally going to have an outside ceremony. But the weather didn’t cooperate so the staff quickly moved it indoors. They were able to turn the room around in ten minutes flat, which is quite impressive when there are so many tables and chairs to move and organize. The reception space was already set for dinner so even taking down the table settings and then replacing it all when the ceremony was over is a ton of work. We could tell that the staff had done this before. Definitely some wedding professionals here at the Makray Golf Club. Outdoor weddings are beautiful, but make sure you have a back up plan and that your venue is on board. Your day will be so much better with the knowledge that it will be a beautiful day, no matter the weather.
The grounds at this venue are gorgeous, and on a nice day, your guests can enjoy the views from the second floor balcony. The banquet rooms are very well decorated and comfortable. Polish Blessings
For their speech, the bridesmaids sang a traditional Polish wedding blessing. And this Polish crowd knew the words and all sang along. We love when we play for a Polish wedding because we love all of those great Polish polkas. Besides the traditional Polish tunes, Bon Jovi’s Living on a Prayer was quite a hit. We had a group of young gentlemen taking off their ties and shirts while playing air guitars on stage. And something akin to a mosh pit ensued. Crazy! This group kept us going all night with great requests. The dance floor was full the whole evening which is always our goal. We had a great time but more importantly, we know all of the guests did too.
