Chris and I headed to Barrington last Saturday to help celebrate the marriage of Linda Bredrup and Steve Bricker, held at the historic Biltmore Country Club. This was our first time paying this club a visit, and we were blown away! From start to finish, it was an epic day.
The Wedding
Linda and Steve, along with just over a hundred of their friends and family, gathered together for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the Biltmore’s back patio. The weather literally couldn’t have been better for an outdoor ceremony. By Illinois standards, they seriously lucked out! After the ceremony, cocktails continued on the patio, until it was time to come in for dinner and dancing (Duh. We were there.). Many jokes were made about the “Brady Bunch” style merging of families by both Linda and Steve’s children, but it was clear that everyone was thrilled for this wonderful couple to find each other. Following dinner, the wedding party was quick to show us that they were ready to dance! Chris and I played a wide-range of tunes from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, (okay, and a few taylor swift tunes for the flower girl), while the crowd proved that age really is nothing but a number.
The Biltmore Country Club
As mentioned before, Chris and I were completely blown away by this amazing venue. The rich, ornate details of the Biltmore give it the feeling of an old mansion or hunting lodge, while the modern amenities and gorgeous landscaping make it the perfect place for a modern wedding. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly hospitable, and the food was absolutely delicious. I’m already looking forward to working in this room again!
Celebrating with Linda and Steve was a reminder of why I love my job so much. The chance to spend your day sharing in the happiness of two newlyweds AND getting to rock out with their crazy friends and family truly never feels like work!
