The Armour House Wedding had us in Lake Forest, Illinois at a beautiful historic property originally built between 1904 and 1908. Lots of history and nostalgia at this gorgeous mansion. Felix and Fingers hopes to soon return!
Armour House Wedding
Our bride and groom, Janessa and Fred, chose the Armour House in Lake Forest as the venue for their wedding day. This venue has it all. From the gorgeous grounds with lakes on the property to the marble and fine wood interior spaces, everything comes together to create the most opulent wedding day scene. We can’t say enough about how lovely and stately this historic building is. The staff is as professional and as helpful as they could be. We love that there is only one event at a time at this venue. While it is large enough to hold more, the one event only policy allows the staff to totally focus on providing you with the most amazing wedding day. Some Of Our Favorites
We love it when the guests request songs that also happen to be some of our favorites. At the Armour House wedding, that is exactly what happened. The dancing began with the couple’s first dance choreographed to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. Couples are choreographing their first dances more and more, we have seen. It’s a great idea and the guests always love it. We were also able to play some Maroon 5, Macklemore, and many other songs from bands that we love. One of the guests, who majored in voice and currently sings with an a cappella group, helped us close out the night with an awesome rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

What a great night it was at this Armour House wedding! We even ended a bit on the early side, around 10:30 pm, which is somewhat unusual for us. It was nice to get to bed just a bit earlier than our normal weekend nights. Don’t worry, we didn’t leave early because the crowd wasn’t having a great time. The wedding just began early and that’s the time the bride and groom wanted to go and begin their new life as a married couple. So romantic!
