Felix loves to go to new places. For this Apple Canyon Lake wedding, we headed to Apple River, Illinois. What a beautiful gem of a town hidden among the hills of northwestern Illinois.
Apple Canyon Lake Wedding
It was a gorgeous drive as we rode through the hills of JoDavies County. Arriving at our venue, we were amazed at all they have to offer. This private recreational community has just about everything you can think of. We were happy that our bride and groom, MaryKate and Matthew, chose to host their wedding on this property. The views here are astounding! Our bride and groom had formed their relationship at Apple Canyon Lake. They had known each other before but it was here that they fell in love. Full of Special Moments
Besides our couple choosing to host their big day where they fell in love, there were some other memorable moments. The father/daughter dance was dedicated to the bride’s mother who had passed away. It was a beautiful piano arrangement called Remember Me by Phil Coulter. Not a dry eye in the house. 
Following that, we brought out the dance music and this crowd knows how to party. Our performers reported that the bride never left the dance floor. Never! There was also a very impressive older couple that had the whole group circled around them, whooping and hollering. They were going at it big time and he even picked her up and swung her around both sides of his hips. So fun! In addition, we had many requests to play some Prince songs. Especially from the groom’s siblings. This may have been because he chose to wear a very stylish purple get up. Whatever the reason, Purple Rain went over very well.
