Does a weekend getaway with your sweetie (or group of friends) sounds like fun? If so, check out our Allerton Park Valentine’s Day weekend retreat dinner show. This Valentine’s, Felix and Fingers drove out to Monticello, Illinois. Our performers for this grand night of entertainment were Katrina Nilsen and Jim Gritschke. We had a fun-loving crowd dancing all night with classic sing-a-longs and high energy tunes. Everyone had a GREAT TIME!

Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeurves and a cash bar at this all-request show. The space we played in consisted of a large, long main dining hall. In fact, there was a expansive, 2-story library with a GORGEOUS Steinway piano in it. Some guests really got into dancing which elevated the room’s energy. They were actually fantastic dancers. Felix and Fingers played requests such as Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis as guests mixed and mingled. A perfect cocktail hour indeed!
Loud Laughter and Tons of Dancing
Jim had this crowd in stitches with his different voices. Everyone was cracking up all night. Since the Allerton Park Valentine’s Day weekend retreat dinner show was on a Friday night, most attendees were couples. Hence, we played fun versions of “educational” songs for men such as “Things You Don’t Say To Your Wife”. There were TONS of requests piling up from Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks to Lizzo. We played them ALL!
The Allerton staff were on top of their game. Passing around delicious appetizers, maintaining the cash bar and ensuring we, as the talent, had every comfort desired. Thank you to everyone who made it happen! All in all, the Allerton Park Valentine’s Day weekend retreat was a romantic and fun evening. This facility would also be ideal for a small to medium wedding. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. We look forward to returning and playing at this beautiful center soon!
