The beautiful Governors mansion was a big building but somehow it was easy to park and get in the venue. All the staff was friendly and some even helped to carry equipment in. Also at the end of the night, we had help loading out.
The crowd warmed up easily and started requesting songs right away. They sang and danced and instantly became a part of the songs. It was a fun night with great audience participation.
The lady in charge asked us if we wanted food from the menu, and the food was well prepared and brought to our green room, which literally was a huge area downstairs with showers and bathrooms.
The dancing continued until the last minute. Everyone seemed happy and enjoyed the night, and many asked for us to come back.
Many of the staff, servers, and bartenders came up to Chris Edwards and me to say how awesome the show was. The Club stayed packed with beautiful, hospitable, and charming people dressed to the nines, dancing, singing, and wanting to participate in the performance. Members even came up to the mic to encourage others to show appreciation with their tip donations. The energy and feel of the show made it fly by so quickly that we were asked what it would take for us to continue for an additional hour. We were both very happy to oblige, and the dancing and singing made it an incredible event.
The room was cozy and beautifully decorated, and the staff were proud of their work. Despite power outlets being in a different room from the performance, they were quick to find a sufficient power cord to run to the performance area.
Before the show, we were given use of the men’s locker room downstairs where we could relax and dress. They even brought us our choice of a hot meal from their menus to the downstairs dining area, which was not being used. It was quiet and perfect to decompress after load-in and sound check.
