The Bryan Glazer Family JCC Roaring 20’s fundraiser was indeed a novel event to raise money for a GREAT cause. All the proceeds from this fundraiser directly benefited our client (Carrollwood Day School) and it’s students. Any additional money would provide funding for this school’s programs and resources. These proceeds would further enrich the educational experience offered at this school located in Tampa, Florida. Our performers for this night of FUNdraising were our very own, fun-loving, Brandon Parsons and Nate Rodriguez. We LOVED all the neat costumes!
Bryan Glazer Family JCC Roaring 20’s Fundraiser Tampa Florida
The Bryan Glazer Family JCC Roaring 20’s fundraiser was a SPECTACULAR event that actually fit the Bryan Glazer JCC aesthetic PERFECTLY. Parent volunteers organized this event. From planning and soliciting donations, through set-up and clean-up, this was one EPIC fundraiser.
Someone had the GREAT idea of holding this fundraiser at an impressive event space within the Bryan Glazer Family JCC. The outside of this art deco historical facility is to swoon over. With an elegant grand entry and contemporary interior, your guests will catch a glimpse of this building’s storied past, modernized for today. What is more, this gala is THE LARGEST event of the year for Carrollwood Day School. This fundraiser provided auctions of fabulous gifts and FUN interactive experiences such as comedy roasts. During cocktail hour, our performers played 20’s styled pop music, which was really fun. Brandon and Nate made Bad Guy by Billie Ellish into a swing song. As a matter of fact, our audience went into full swing on the dance floor with the first note of this song. We played EVERYTHING from Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio to Country Roads by John Denver. We LOVED hearing our audience sing ALL NIGHT LONG!
Mashups and Highlights
Carrollwood Day School put on a dinner spread like no other. This event had a 3 course catered meal and it was DELICIOUS. Our performers played a short dinner set before the live auction. For example, jazz versions of top hits mixed with classic 1920’s jazz were a hit with the crowd. Two of the biggest hits of the night were Ain’t Misbehavin’ by Fats Waller and a swing jazz mashup of The Way by Fastball. Felix didn’t stop there, we packed the dance floor with an awesome rendition of All of Me by Seymour Simons. This crowd forgot about their dinner and went NUTS singing at the top of their lungs. Everyone sounded AMAZING!
Felix and Fingers LOVE bringing their high energy dueling piano show to any small or large gig. We also love making our audience sing Fight for Your Right by the Beastie Boys. As a matter of fact, we had funny moment when a group of 50ish year old’s were head banging to this song. It was EPIC.
Above all, Felix LOVES a good mashup, so we brought everyone out on the floor with Shout! by the Isley Brothers. Brandon and Nate turned this highlight into a mashup ending Shout! with Get Low by Lil’ Jon & The East Side Boyz. Felix had EVERYONE jumping as high and dropping as low as they could! We eventually ended the night with a great DJ’d set that included a mix of 90’s to current hits. Our performers interspersed these hits with remixes of classics. We must say, the Bryan Glazer Family JCC Roaring 20’s fundraiser was an absolute BLAST!
