This Sunken Gardens Florida Wedding had us in St. Petersburg, Florida for one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve been to in a long time. Felix and Fingers love it when we can go to sunny Florida to perform!
Sunken Gardens Florida Wedding
St. Petersburg has a treasure in Sunken Gardens. This 100 year old park has some of the area’s oldest tropical plants. Winding paths take you through these gorgeous grounds to your wedding ceremony and then reception. This has been a favorite spot for weddings since 1935. Who wouldn’t want to be married here?! The gorgeous plants, flowers, waterfalls, and wildlife will make it seem as if you are being married in paradise. And you kind of are! The banquet facility is in the historic 1926 main building and keeps its charm with its high wood ceilings and beam work. If you are looking for the perfect paradise in which to be married, look no further. This is the spot for you. Click here to find out more.
Don’t Play It!
One hit of the night was when we played the Cupid Shuffle. Why? Well it was on our bride and groom’s definitely do not play list, unless a guest requests it. If that happened, we were supposed to play it but make fun of the person requesting it. We did and everyone came out on the dance floor to get involved. Another great moment was the sing off between the Father of the Bride and the Best Man. They both sang to Man I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain. Both guys were great characters but the father’s Hungarian accent made it even more funny. What a riot this group was.
We do become tired of clinking glasses at all of the weddings we do so we were pretty pleased about the giant dice guests had to roll to make the couple kiss. Even numbers, they kissed. Odd numbers, the person who rolled it had to kiss someone. If the bride and groom rolled odd numbers, they picked two people they had to kiss. Really fun and everyone got into it and kicked the dice around like a soccer ball. Sadly it was time for the night to end and our couple left through a glow stick tunnel made by their friends and family. As they exited to the tune of Sky Full of Stars By Cold Play we think we saw a couple of tears from their happy moms.
