Felix and Fingers star performer Nate Rodriguez headed to St. Petersburg, Florida to play for this intimate Birchwood Wedding. It was a very special evening with this small, but highly energized, group of family and friends.
Intimate Birchwood Wedding Venue
You will find the Birchwood Hotel on the west coast of Florida in gorgeous St. Petersburg. We loved this venue! The decor is quite chic and classy which made for a beautiful wedding. In addition, the staff went above and beyond. The Birchwood is a small boutique hotel with only 18 rooms. With its perfect location right in the heart of the waterfront district, it’s an amazing choice for a destination wedding. The Grand Ballroom offers wonderful views of Tampa Bay, Beach Drive, as well as the downtown St. Petersburg skyline. Felix travels to many, many venues and this one is top notch indeed. A Wedding Full of Birthdays
This was a very small wedding with only 27 very close family and friends. And it seemed like at least half of them had birthdays on or near this day. Maybe it wasn’t half but it was quite a few so we had to celebrate the birthdays as well as the beautiful 
wedding of Suzie and Billy. A birthday moonwalk contest began as Nate played Michael Jackson’s Billy Jean and the winner was–Billy, the groom! The guests were sure having a great time with the contest and also sang a very loud version of Happy Birthday. Not only was there wedding cake, but there was birthday cake too. But enough about birthdays. This was a wedding group ready to dance!
As soon as Nate began playing Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon, everyone moved to the dance floor. And we mean EVERYONE. This was a very fun-loving group that didn’t stop the whole night. They did slow down a bit at times, especially with Chris Stapleton’s Tennessee Whiskey. Every single couple was swaying to that beautiful song. The room was full of romance, for sure. This intimate Birchwood wedding may have been small, but it was definitely big on love.
