Burroughs Wedding Fort Myers
The Burroughs Home and Gardens is a vintage, turn of the century home in the historic downtown area of Ft. Myers, Florida. This is a true gem of a venue for weddings, private parties, corporate events, or just about any occasion for which you want to impress. This Georgian Revival Mansion dates from 1901 and has the charm and character that goes along with the architecture of the time. Please click here to view this exquisite home. From the expert staff to the stunning grounds along the Caloosahatchee River, Burroughs Home and Gardens is truly a top notch venue.
The ceremony took place in the outdoor pavilion which had stunning river views. Even during the reception, guests were able to enjoy those views from a super cool cigar bar that served whiskey and port wine. The staff had set up this location away from the main dancing area due to the cigar smoke which we found to be quite a good idea. The guests that chose to partake were still close enough to be a part of everything but far enough away to enjoy an uninterrupted fine cigar. And many guests did.
A Full Band and More
Yes, Felix and Fingers is a dueling piano company but we provide all types of entertainment. For the Burroughs Wedding Fort Myers, we did our dueling piano show backed by an electric guitar, drums, and a saxophone. These additions really kick our show, which is already great, up a notch and more. There is just something about a full band that can’t be duplicated. Since our groom’s family is of Mexican descent, we were really able to practice our Latin style music. We played a ton of Cumbia, Bachata, Regatón, and Meringue music. And these guests could really dance!
We loved watching this group dance and truly enjoyed when they made us come join them on the dance floor. We didn’t have the moves down like they did but we sure tried. Even the bride and groom wowed us and everyone else with a superbly choreographed and performed first dance. It was an awesome wedding reception and we hope to soon return to this venue and especially to Florida.
