Felix and Fingers LOVE California. A state that actually guarantees perfect weather for an outdoor event. In this case, the bride and groom chose Cape Rey, Carlsbad Beach Hilton Resort and Spa. Sadly, the bride’s mother passed between postponements. As a special request, the bride asked us if we could perform one of her mom’s favorite songs. She chose Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benetar. When we fired up our keys during cocktail hour, the dance floor became packed. Everyone was singing emotionally to celebrate the bride’s mother’s life! What a touching moment indeed.
Killer Conga Lines and Yummy Sundae Bars
Dinner was scrumptious. Everyone enjoyed a chef prepared meal and yummy dessert. While the couple did have a cake, they also had a sundae bar. Very popular with our crowd. After dinner this crowd was ready to party. Jackie led everyone in an awesome Conga line to Gloria Estefan’s Conga. The bride led the line through the entire venue. It was EPIC. Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton filled the dance floor with slow dancing couples–so romantic. All in all, it was awesome!
As the night came to an end, there were plenty of Spanish requests like Selena, Elvis Crespo and even Shakira. Our crowd loved dancing Cumbia!. The bride could not have thanked us more for playing her Selena requests. Above all we had a very successful “Honeymoon Fund”. The bride and groom loved this idea as it kept everyone requesting songs to meet their honeymoon goal. We actually raised $600 in tips for Jackie and Kiel’s honeymoon! Shawn and Leana had a blast performing at the Carlsbad Beach Hilton Resort and Spa Wedding Event. In fact, everyone went home happy. Another successful wedding event for our books!
